Change in the Way Invoice Due Date is Calculated

Based on feedback from attorneys using our legal billing software, we’ve made a change in the way the invoice due date is calculated.

The invoice no longer contains an “invoice due date.” We’ve changed this to simply show the date that the invoice was created. The invoice due date is now calculated based on the payment terms.

New Features – Retainer / Trust billing and Partial Payments

We are happy to announce some new features that some of you have been clamoring for.

Retainer Billing

With our new retainer (aka trust account) billing feature, you now have the ability to assign a retainer balance to each of your clients. From this retainer balance, you will be able to apply a credit on a per invoice basis. This credit will deduct from the clients retainer balance as long as funds are still available.

New Features – Additional Reports and Printing Options

This morning we’ve updated our software to provide a few new reports and an additional printing option. When you visit the Reporting section of our application, you’ll now see two new reports you can run on your data:

  • A Matter Summary Report by Client
  • An Expense Report

Like all of our reports, these are filterable by date range and easily printed or exported to Excel. We’ve also added the option is include Draft invoices in your reports as well.
